"The Dancer and the Dance"
Cactus Gallery is pleased to announce a group exhibition, "The Dancer
and the Dance," featuring works inspired by the rhythmic movement of
dance. "The Dance and the Dance" features works that aim to
capture how dance creates order in an otherwise chaotic universe.
Painting, sculpture, collage, fiber art, watercolor and mixed media works are used to explore how the dancer and the dance eventually become one, so that one can't separate 'the dancer from the dance.'
The opening reception will be on Saturday, July 14th from 7-10pm in conjunction with our area's gallery night, NELA Second Saturday Gallery Night. For map: http://www.nelaart.com
It is free and open to the public. Complimentary drinks will be served during the reception and many of the exhibiting artists will be in attendance. The exhibition will be on display through August 4, 2012.
